Textile industry waste water

Feasibility of photocatalysis for the textile industry waste water treatment is evaluated and discussed from the industrial requirements viewpoint. After a thorough work of more than 6 years, we conclude that photocatalysis is not a viable process for textile industry waste water purification. We also conclude that most cited, cherished, appreciated research area / process may not find realistic application; and socially useful technological developments should be celebrated more rather than number of publications by a scientist / scientific field, and citations.
